Provides overall leadership and strategic vision for the Association. Acts as the public face of the MRTA and ensures all committee work aligns with the organisation’s goals to support, represent, and promote Mill Road traders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Sets MRTA strategic direction and priorities.
• Represents the Association publicly at meetings with Cambridge City Council, County Council, Mayor’s Office, MPs, Police Commissioner, other civic, community partners and commercial partners, encourage other officers to also take part during these meetings.
• Leads consultation meetings on issues for example traffic, crime, safety, ensuring trader voices are heard.
• Chairs all committee meetings and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
• Oversees delivery of agreed projects and ensures accountability across all officer roles.
• Acts as spokesperson for the Association in the press and media.
• Builds positive relationships with local stakeholders, residents, and community organisations.

Supports the Chair in leadership duties and provides continuity and stability within the committee. Acts as deputy in the Chair’s absence and ensures effective coordination across projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deputises for the Chair at meetings or events when required.
• Monitors progress of action points between committee meetings.
• Assists officers and ambassadors to stay aligned on objectives.
• Supports problem solving and ensures smooth communication within the team.
• Acts as a point of contact for traders when the Chair is unavailable.

Ensures smooth day-to-day administration and communication of the Association. Acts as the main organiser and communication lead between members, officers, and external contacts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Works closely with the Chair to liaise with civic leaders and council representatives.
• Prepares and circulates meeting agendas, minutes, and notices in collaboration with other officers.
• Manages official correspondence, email enquiries in collaboration with other officers.
• Maintains accurate and updated membership records, ensure members are signed up and match treasurers record via digital membership.
• Coordinates logistics for events, meetings, and consultations.
• Manages member communications via email, WhatsApp, and newsletters.
• Supports the Marketing Officer by collecting trader stories, images, and local updates.

Leads all promotional, branding, and public engagement activity. Ensures the MRTA has a strong and positive presence across digital and local media.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manages all MRTA social media accounts (LinkedIn and Instagram).
• Coordinates photography, video content, and press coverage.
• Leads “Meet the Trader” storytelling campaigns.
• Oversees branding, logo use, and website updates.
• Works with local bloggers, journalists, and media outlets such as Cambridge Foodies and Cambridge Independent.
• Plans and promotes campaigns such as “Shop Local”, Mill Road Week, and seasonal events. Possible night events and Mill Road Summer Fair?
• Supports community engagement by highlighting trader achievements and local success stories.
